Aye. A lot of people put a lot of hard work into a lot of topics. 🙁 I don’t know how forums work, to be honest, but on a normal website you’d just create a sub-domain and click a few buttons and it would all be saved in there for ever. It would probably take you longer to log in and enter your password than it would actually storing the old site and changing it into an archive.
I’m not sure how forums stored though so there filing system might be completely different, probably is.
From what I know of Forum storing/filing systems they don’t actually keep the post how we see them on the internet, they just make references to them but the posts themselves are kept in a different folder.
Read between the lies
No, they are not gone, but they are not currently online.
Unfortunately, security concerns (on a technological scale) and the fact the code was YEARS old, prevented me from simply loading hundreds of thousands of messages into this board.
Although frustrating - it was a necessity and I had to do it. I hope I can get it to an archive mode soon -- but for now, it is currently offline.
