The United States, what is it? What kind of system is the US? I remember when the Commies used to call Americans "greedy capitalist pigs", and at the time I believed the US was a capitalist country. But I've learned some things since then, and I've come to the conclusion that the US is not really capitalist. It never was. Oh, the US has a market based economy, sort of, but it is corrupted to the point that it's unrecognizable to anyone who believes in the free enterprise system.
What the US really is, is Socialism mixed with Kleptocracy. In America, you are nobody until you figure out how to rip off the tax payers. That is the true system. Farmers figured it out, military contractors figured it out, the car companies figured it out, big finance companties figured it out, Obama figured it out. All those people living in those ultra-rich neighborhoods, like Palm Beach, who live in those houses that cost tens of millions of dollars own or run or invested in companies that were fed by your tax dollars. That's how you get THAT much money. The US government has access to trillions of dollars! Our dollars.
The US is basically a 2 party political system and one of those parties lives and dies through its partnership with people and companies that steal from the American tax payer. And the other party knows it so they try to get in on the game when they can. Some of them try to be idealistic but in the end they cave to the money. That's why the last election went the way it did. People have figured it out. Why fight it?
The problem is that over time too many people figure it out and you get too many taking from the system and too few contributing to it. This is why the US has to keep importing more and more people from other countries, who are ignorant of the system. They come here and work their ass off thinking they are going to benefit from it. These ignorant people vote for whoever promises them the most, all coming from the same source, your tax dollars. This is how you keep getting your guy re-elected and the game continues, business as usual.
Too many Americans today have figured out, why work your ass off your whole life just to end up with nothing? Too many people no longer work. But the stores are full, the freeways are packed, and more hands are out for even more free stuff. Conservatives tell liberals that their system can't work but the liberals say, yes it can. It continues on in places like California, Illinois and New York. None of them realize that they are living on borrowed time because the truth is, that system really is not sustainable, long term. That's why civilizations die and why the US is dying. And Americans keep voting for it because they are delusional. They don't want to face the truth so they struggle to get at what's left of the nation's wealth, not realizing that the vaults are already empty like Fort Knox.
Civilizations throughout history were based on the same or similar concept. Create a clever illusion, get people to work for the system, rip it off through the government, get filthy rich. Taxes are for idiots! Even the ancient Romans knew that. Their system was based on taxing the crap out of conquered peoples.
Prove me wrong.
