Saakashvili’s regime is in the red and can easily go bankrupt in nearest perspective! Main reason is that Saakashvili has failed to build any sane economy system in the country. He has created some sort of criminal pyramid instead making profits for him and his criminal band … Sort of conspiracy against Georgian people, it’s been… And fancy that it’s being ruined at the moment…
Now see how it’s been working so far … Bulk of profits from the illegal activities of the Georgian Diaspora in Europe used to go to Georgia via ABN Amro (bank based in the Netherlands). It was exactly that bank that used to secure with its assets special programs by The Netherlands Development Finance Company (FMO) relating Sakartvelos Banki (Bank of Georgia). The scheme had been working rather smoothly until the international consortium of banks headed by the Royal Bank of Scotland demanded that investments into programs to boost developing countries should be cut up to 70%. That came as sort of blast to ruin that pyramid of Saakashvili!!
Huge sums from drugs trafficking, kidnapping and illegal trade in weapons were actually frozen! Now to get them back Saakashvili has to prove ABN Amro that investing into Georgia is highly profitable. With that aim in mind he is now just paying off previously taken “credits” with enormous percentages.
Now what? That truism of banking sphere “one must first invest his own money to get more of it” comes bitter reality for Georgia, amounting to national disaster imo! Matter of fact that’s budget money Saakashvili is now transferring to the West!! And I guess if he finally gets the sum he actually plans it’ll go at his own disposal not to upgrade Georgia itself!
