MANY Smart, critical thinking people from every walk of life tried to tell you, you just wouldn't listen to reason. How sad, especially given the absolute destruction and all that's been laid waste in the country of Iraq.
From start, Bush team focused on war with Iraq
From the very beginning it seems Jr was looking to follow in Papa's footsteps, only the clan was deceptive ( but not so deceptive ) about their intentions. Used FEAR as a weapon and lot's of people swallowed it whole.

Newly declassified official documents show Bush’s focus on toppling Saddam predates 9/11.
By Dan De Luce – WASHINGTONFormer president George W. Bush’s advisers focused on toppling Saddam Hussein’s regime as soon as he took office and discussed how to justify a war in Iraq shortly after invading Afghanistan in 2001, official documents showed Wednesday.
A few hours after the September 11 attacks in 2001, then defense secretary Donald Rumsfeld spoke of attacking Iraq as well as Osama bin Laden, according to notes of a meeting on that day, newly declassified papers show.
Rumsfeld told a Pentagon lawyer to go to his deputy to get “support” showing a supposed link between the Iraqi regime and Al-Qaeda’s founder, according to the papers posted by the Washington-based National Security Archive, an independent research institute.
The US government has since acknowledged that Saddam’s regime had no role in the 9/11 attacks.
In June and July of 2001, senior administration officials seized on intercepted aluminum tubes as proof that Iraq was pursuing nuclear weapons, even before a preliminary assessment of the tubes, according to two State Department memos to then secretary of state Colin Powell.
One memo states the US government’s interest in “publicizing the interdiction to our advantage” and “getting the right story out” about the tubes, which were soon found to have no nuclear connection.
Confronting Iraq was also the focus of a July 2001 memo to the national security adviser at the time, Condoleezza Rice, with Rumsfeld urging a high-level meeting on policy towards Baghdad.
And know the biggest INSULT within the whole mess, and from one, well is this man Human? Does he have ANY sort of a conscience? Amazing!
Voicing concern that sanctions were proving a failure and that Iraq’s air defenses were improving, Rumsfeld warned: “Within a few years the US will undoubtedly have to confront a Saddam armed with nuclear weapons.”
Defies everything this country ever stood for, or was ever founded on. Something tells me that these people never gave a damn about any of that!

I am still comfortable with the fact that Iraq was not abiding by the 17 UN resolutions before we went back in, any one of those infractions was cause for us to continue the Gulf war .
Bushs' only mistake was trying to sell a new war, instead of continuing the Gulf war which Saddam didn't obey the cease fire agreements.
I would also like to add, at least Bush didn't say we can absorb a terrorist attack, Like Obamao just did. 🙄 shows where his priorities are ..sure isn't protecting us..
BloodStone...
If it were raining hookers, I'd get hit by a fag.

Get ready to Duck Bloodstone, I'm sure Cole is about to go into another one of those rants on both of us now. Bloodstone, how can you be so blind, you fear mongering, mad bomber of innocent people, and supporter of torture in Gitmo. You know Cole knows what he is talking about. WE were punked, but not Cole!

I agree 100% and further I sent a message to Greeney a spell back, if he hasn't read it he may go back and have a look see! 🙄 It's way way up there Greeney and yes--There is zero web presence, it goes with that territory. Sorry, but it's not my fault.
Many people myself included ( on the old board ) railed about The lack of WMD evidence, maybe you've forgotten.
Stoner: That statement that Obama made is ( I THINK, MAY BE WRONG ) the result of his training, that which he received at his very first place of employment: Anyone ever going to have a go at who he worked for straight out of ( what school was it again )
Yes Greeney I do in fact know a lot ( BUT ) Nowhere near everything, sorry if it comes across that way!

Not really: But it would be a simple phone call or Lunch, or Family reunion, but even then it would be worse than pulling teeth. Career Military personnel have a different view of the world than those who simply trod along, especially those you sit around, or sat around, writing and working every angle of every intelligence operation or possibility thereof, ever know to man. Especially those yet to be known. Declassification of certain material matters not to them, they still won't speak of it in terms that either you or I would ever grasp. Only say: Read it yourself. LOL
That is how the term " Things r not always what they seem to be " was coined.
Big business that intel stuff.! 😉 And Greeney: There is ONE THING you'll NEVER EVER see me take part in, or be part of on any open forum on any web, THAT INCLUDES the one you know of, and the one few people KNOW EXISTS. There are/is other webs, just a FYI.
It's anything tied to working intel scenarios, those that could be used by the scapegoats. Best to leave it at that! 😉
Last thing: Books are better than TEE VEE! 😉 TV tends to paint PRETTY pics AND HALF TRUTHS, JUST ENOUGH TO PIQUE a persons interest long enough to steer them down the proper path, so to speak!
The Show Rubicon is a prime example: It's on tonight--give it a go " Keep an open mind " then read the book it was pulled from, think about the author, who he is, what he still is!
as always,
best Cole.

PS. As an aside: My Father ( who was a trained up expert marksman ) would never suggest that Oswald wasn't the shooter, all he would ever say was that Oswald missed his first attempt and that was the easiest of the shots he supposedly got off ! 😮 And that Spector just keeps rolling along!!! As close as he'd ever get! Loyal Marine right up to the end! Tuff nuts to crack those guys are!

Yes to an extent! I'm confident that as soon as the ink was dry on the documents, and that Bible was put back under lock and key, Obama was treated to a casual conversation in regard to specific matters at hand. Maybe that's why these guys age so quickly, who knows.
Bush really had no problem handing the ball off, he wasn't capable of running the offense anyway, his Mental State had a large part in all his ( I'll call it stuff ) Old guard, Old Money no Mental capacity needed.
Obama on the other hand, very smart, very trained, and the NEW KID on the block. Maybe, just maybe he's a bit more than THEY bargained for! 😉 Call it hard headed via a conscience, kind of like ( despite being hand picked " I didn't sign on for THIS " )
If you stop and Think about it: You'll quickly see the courting of Palin going on right under the surface. Why you ask? Surely you jest!
I'd love to see a Saturday night skit: Spelling Bee Palin vs Bush maybe for every misspelled word they have to take a shot of Jack!
Something tells me that they'd need more than the usual 15 minutes.
