Although we sometimes do practice games around Christmas... the official tournament happens on the rollover of the new year. We will start around 10ish, and go til dad Zonks out 😉

Hahahha, During Christmas dinner my dad and step mum say:
"No one should make home make beer if they're doing it to save money on beer already bought. We did it because we thought, 'Well we spend 150 a month in beer, so for that price we could get twice the beer by making it ourselves.' But then we still spent 150 a month on beer, we just drank twice as much."
😛

"George Bush says he speaks to god every day, and christians love him for it. If George Bush said he spoke to god through his hair dryer, they would think he was mad. I fail to see how the addition of a hair dryer makes it any more absurd."

I'm not a beer guzzler where a 12 pack gets consumed at the blink of an eye (well sometimes), drinking a homemade beer, is more like enjoying a nice glass of wine. You enjoy it ever sip and swallow. Natural carbonation is definalty different. Once you have had a good homemade beer, and taste a store bought, your first question is "is something wrong with it". Hard to explain, you just have to try it, and making it is the fun part of it.

Right now, many of the stores have the beer kits marked way down after Christmas sales. Last year the day after christmas we went aound and bought several of the kits and several of the refill recipes for about 75% off. CVS and Bed Bath and Beyond all had them marked way down. If you can get one of the beer making kits, it has all the bottles included, and a good way to start your first batch. We use the Mr. Beer kits, but I also have a kit I havn;t used yet that is a differenet process of actually cooking all the ingrediants. The Mr. Beer kits are precooked and the mixtures called the Wort, are canned and proceesed already.
