There has been lots of predictions or forecasts about pending earthquakes around the net, so I decided to write a freeware quake notification program for Windows that pops up a balloon notification when earthqauakes are published. It's still beta, but if you happen to be interested, you can find more info here: http://www.jamescoulter.com/re...../index.htm

There are some other cool sevices too, like e-mail notifications from the USGS website.

QuakeAlert is a freeware program for Windows that will show balloon notifications of earthquakes in near real time as they are published. http://www.jamescoulter.com/re...../index.htm

Great idea, emp and welcome. Don't disappear on us... stick around.

Every one who is seriously involved in the pursuit of science becomes convinced that a spirit is manifest in the laws of the Universe-a spirit vastly superior to that of man. - Albert Einstein

Perfect timing! 😎

Going to check that out!

“Living backwards!” Alice repeated in great
astonishment. “I never heard of such a thing!”

BTW, for anyone interested, I've posted a new installer for QuakeAlert here:
