You did nothing wrong at all, all threads are stored in the archives. If you look at any forum note the numbers of the pages of archives, arranged by the most recent reply. If you went to page 10 and found a thread that has not had a reply in some time, your new reply revives it, and sends it back to the top of page one.
That is the great thing about message forums like this, subjects never die. Facebook, they just scroll away and are lost in a day or so, where here they can be revived to add or update things.
EVery forum has archives that go back many years sometimes, reviving them is a good thing.

I would say, revive them and add if you have something to say on them! No worries! As greeney2 said, this is all archived for a reason, so two years from now, someone may read that whole thread and benefit from your addition to it, so in short, don't worry - revive away 🙂
