I will never understand why people can't allow people to be people. You CANNOT change someone from who they are. You can hide it, scare it, or beat it someone about it, but that doesn't change them. It's funny how fundamentally shitty our society is to people that don't fall within the MOSTLY Christian standards of what is normal.

Because then the hateful people that want to change people create extremes of people that then become (in the case of this particular subject) heterophobes. It sounds funny but it's the truth. Feminist is the answer to a patriarchal society based on the Christian religion. The answer then to a lot the accused/abused people is to lash out in equal measure to their accusers. Pretty soon the people that don't support their cause are just as bad as the people that abused them in the first place. Those that can't lash out in equal measure to the abused end up being like this man, people that take their lives.

I really, REALLY, just wish people would mind their own damned business about other people's lives. I mean seriously. It so damned annoying,

There are is entire forum I visit of someone in the entertainment industry whose fans who are a majority of homosexual. But I see the hate that they have in their hearts for someone that has anything less to say then "yay homosexuality". These people were created from hate, and are just perpetuating the very thing that created them. Like the son who watched this father beat his mother, do the same to his wife. We are just a society of hateful people that can't just take care of them and theirs without having the head up someone else's ass making sure they are living their life the way they think they should.

It's funny how fundamentally shitty our society is to people that don't fall within the MOSTLY Christian standards of what is normal.

I have to object to that statement, becasue we could all mention many reasons for our society becoming fundamentally shitty, that have nothing to do with any religion. We happen to live in a disfunctional society for about a thousand different reasons. Its no coinsodence that the more our religious communities erode the more those disfunctions seem to grow. The more our focus on having a religious foundation a part of raising families disappears, the more the disfunctions seem to grow. We forget to center on things like eating dinner at the table as a family, turning off the television, reading, family time, going to church, etc. Moms and Dads both work nowadays, so hours and scheules sometimes make for free for alls at dinner. Structured raising of children is abandon, when kids get home, the video games start, and homework gets let go. Moms no longer are with the babies 24/7, they return to work after prenancy, and daycares replace critical Mother/child formation years. The eroding of family values has only hurt this society just within normal working middle class homes.

It gets much worse in the inner cities, low income, gang and drug infested areas, where kids goto "At Risk" schools. Many of those kids don;t even have a chance, they are doomed to the lifestyle they were born into, and the pattern is passed from parents to children, and younger siblings. They are exposed to gangs and drugs in early elementry school, the parenting is almost nonexistant, they do not help with homework, they fail in the early grades, and end up uneducated, underachieving, and heading for a bad outcome without a chance.

Religions are not the bad guys, and you can not label the Christian Mold, as the standard. Islamic faiths, Judiism, and Christian religions have very similar beliefs. As related to the gay issues, the beliefs of most religions is based on the belief of God's word telling us what is and is not sin. That is not a hate based foundation, any more than the same beliefs about what is stealing or what is a capital crime, the 10 commandments, etc. You will always find some radical groups in anything, that are so far out in left field its pathetic, but that is not a reflexion of all religions. They are also not the cause of gay suicides. A study proved that religious pressure was not a cause of these things. It was proven the suicide rate, that is 5 times greater than hetrosexuals, was caused by failed relationships and rejections, problems within the lifestyle community itself. other reason that were a result of lifestyle dynamics, having nothing to do with religions whatsoever.

As far a bullying, everyone faces bully's in life. As far a abusive homes, they are plenty of them, evryone has a story of abuse somewhere. Its part of that society we have become. Which one do you think has the greater, families that have a good healthy family enviorment with a normal religious element, or a disfunctional home where no structure and underachieving prevails in a atmosphere of drugs? Just yesterday in Anaheim, California (Disneyland Home town) an 18 year old boy stabbed a 12 year old boy to death walking out of school, because he was tagging on the 18 year old tagging, and violated him. What total ignorance has our society become, when defacing someone else defacing of public property is reason to murder??? No religion caused that!

I will admit it was a blanket statement, and a biased one. Perhaps a better wording would have been "organized religion". I am a product of ruined relationships and life because of religion so sometimes I tend to be quick with my mouth and slower with my thinking.

I agree with the structure of familes having a lot to do with it. It's also why I bear the burden of one income so that my wife can be at home with our two boys so that they are raised by their parents and not a daycare. But I also work a lot of hours and am not home as much as I would like, but my hand is kinda forced there. Yet I still seem to just make ends meet, and cannot provide what I perceive to be a good level of wants and needs to my family. Our society at the time cannot function without money.

I lived a fairly stable neighborhood as a kid, so I can't say too much on the subject. I was borderline in bad part of the city, and the schools that I attended weren't near the level that say the schools my kids go to now. I don't live in anything more than a middle class neighborhood either. We are just lucky that the schools in this part of Oklahoma are highly regarded for their teachers.

No it is the men that use them to their needs that are the bad guys. As I mentioned before my objectivity is skewered. And as I do not have a lot of knowledge in other religions I cannot say what they believe and don't believe. My intention, which I obviously missed, was people in general no matter what their motivation for hate is. Why is it we can't just stop hating and allow people to lives their lives, when they bring no harm to others? That is my exasperation. It's ridiculous and very indicative of humanity as a whole, no matter what nationality or religion, or gender.

As far a bullying, everyone faces bully's in life. As far a abusive homes, they are plenty of them, evryone has a story of abuse somewhere. Its part of that society we have become. I have no statistics but I can imagine that there are more reported crimes in lower income areas because who is there to stop anyone from reporting it? Some rich tycoon's son kills himself overdosing on drugs because he couldnt bear to tell them he was gay is not going to be reported. A story is made and paid and all the people that he put money in their pocket make sure it stays that way. I don't believe that "bad things" only happen to poor people. We just get told more about it because money can buy lies, it can buy lives, or whatever you want. I will agree that if I had less financial worries that my particular mental health would be better, and I would probably wouldn't be quick to anger because my kids are wearing me out after a 12 hour work day. But that's still through faults of my own and not to be blamed on my job. I feel strongly about personal responsibility, and hate that people are hiding behind religion or whatever they use to feed hatred into this world and upon the people that they feel deserve it.

I apologize for being too quick to type and not long enough to think. But I appreciate your response as it well thought out and pointed.
