This place has changed since pre-mod. and I can't say it's for the better. I thought this was an adult board where the free flow of ideas was the object, but, since the addition of mods., I've seen things that disturb me about the Blackvault. One is the seemingly thin-skinned issuance of warnings and such to people who only say what is on their mind. I don't like this new direction and I think it takes away much power and allure of the Blackvault. Short of visciously attacking the owner of this forum or threats of physical violence, what is the big deal? Are we all not adults here? If you can't take a little razzing and name-calling by other members, why sign in at all? The board has turned too PC for me and I don't like that I have to 2cnd guess every little thing I post on here lately.

Secondly is the open and rampant discussion of other people's lives, by MODERATORS themselves, that seem to have a tinge of racism to them. When this is allowed while other stuff mentioned above goes on, it definately gives me pause about a place that I use to look forward to coming and exchanging ideas and opinions with other people that I thought I knew but now rethinking after the last few days. It's Mr. Greenewald's site and I respect anything he would do with his own property, but I hope he considers what this conspiracy nut had to say. Thanks Now swing away everybody...

Shouldn't adults know better than to use second-rate language to get a "point" across?

War is an extension of economics and diplomacy through other means.

Economics and diplomacy are methods of securing resources used by humans.

Securing resources is the one necessary behavior for all living things.

War = Life

Other than threats, and gutter type language, and name calling, nothing has changed.

gudskepteacal, and I would like to add that I have been glad to get to know you a little better, because I have noticed you have been posting more the last few weeks or so.
I've been thinking about that, there are alot of members I'm starting to get to know better that I really like and appreciate sharing ideas with, whether its a debate or just nice discussion on the board.

You shouldn't at all be weary of what you need or want to say on a subject, however yes, we do not want profanity and so many personal attacks, it helps get people focused in a better direction of basing debates and discussion in a more informational style.

Give us a chance gudskepteacal, you should also take into consideration there are many that are brand new at moderating.

astonishment. “I never heard of such a thing!”

Being objective, whether you agree or not, it has changed. Just my opinion but John can prove it easily by tacking up some of the old stuff from the OLD BV FORUM. Post's on the new layout pale in comparison to those of the old, by both number and content, that can't be denied.

If it takes a MOD for an individual to feel safe or protected when they post then in my opinion that person shouldn't participate on any forum anywhere, that's just ridiculously immature. Some MOD's have an obvious attitude but that's not unlike many others, sometimes myself included, just go back and read the posts.

Here's another thing that most people miss> 90% of the people who participate on this board never read the threads they respond to and if they do they have trouble absorbing the material, you can see this by their response-posts. I CAN COPY AND PASTE TOO MANY TO COUNT EXAMPLES of that very thing. Yes believe it or not--some people do it on purpose--usually it's on Conspiracy stuff, or Homeland stuff, lot's on the Political stuff. Again just takes a few minutes and read through the threads, you'll find the pattern within a few pages worth of reading.

Offering up a situation conducive to open discussion and then having a need to monitor or control the situation doesn't ( IN MY OPINION ) PROVIDE an open and honest environment for discussion. Lay the rules out for the ADULTS--Should one or two posters continue to violate said rules warn them once WHY gee I guess it's because they are intelligent adults who came here of their own free will and know full well what they are doing. They do it again>>>>BAN THEM INTO OBLIVION

I said it once and will say it again >>>> This isn't rocket science--nor should it be an EGO TRIP. The latter is far too obvious and in my opinion is growing like a cancer.

Personally, I think having mods doesn't detract from the boards, but the lack of mods was never the problem in the first place.

Maybe I'm oversimplifying things, but it seems to me, every time we lose a ton of members, it's because John has changed to a new board, and everyone has to sign up again, and a lot just think it isn't worth it. People don't generally like change.

It took me forever to sign up again this time around.

Also, in my opinion, the quality of the members is way more important than the quantity, and any member that would be scared away by a bit of name calling or whatever wasn't worth having anyway.

??? I have been called insane...an idiot for posting my views...very bad putdowns hidden beneath clever wording. ( I guess I need to learn how to kick in the groins with clever wording, that seems to get by the mods )

I get called out for calling a criminal an asshole????

This is a biased site in more ways than one.

yes..remember..you can really kick em where it hurts without the "gutter" language, after all its the word "asshole" and "sicco" that really offends.

(rolls eyes up at the hypocricy)

Get real, see a doctor, or check yourself in to a hospital before you hurt yourself or those operatives (normal everyday people that you bring into your delusions).

Just one small example from 3d....I mean REALLY... that is so much better than calling someone an asshole or a sicco..wow!! (and all because I dared to say that MK ultra was real)

I have about 7 other examples of serious offense for merely speaking my mind.... wow..real unbiased mods here..
