I stumbled across this documentary when researching something else and thought I would share it. It goes in-depth to explain how current Global Warming will be the cause of the next Ice Age. It's called "The Big Chill" and explains the science behind how the desalinization of the Gulf Stream (the Atlantic Ocean "Conveyor"), which is being caused by Global Warming that is melting vast amounts of the Greenland ice fields and dumping fresh water into the Atlantic Ocean.

It's happened 20 times in the last two million years, so they're not trying to link it to man made Global Warming. All in all, it's a quite informative documentary.

The documentary is in five parts:

You should find it interesting. He goes over some stuff that much of the general public is still unaware of.

πŸ˜†

I had a recent " NOT TOO SMOOTH " conversation with my Brother-in-law in regard to Global warming post hack. πŸ˜† He's in denial simply because as a Science teacher he has NO CHOICE BUT TO PLAY ALONG

He spouted off some stats on the past three years and mans involvement in the process of warming the planet. He claims, as does the Docs, that the Gulf Stream having it's salinity depleted by melting ice will be the cause of the so called " ICE AGE " As it will eventually grind to a halt and allow cold air to rush over the Northern hemisphere. πŸ˜†

This is where it got a bit intense: I asked a few honest sincere questions and he became a bit defensive to say the least. πŸ˜† It's a long winded story in regard to emissions, those verses the late 50's thru the early 80's-as compare to NOW.

Emissions today are far and beyond cleaner than years past, but he say's MOOT point because now there are MORE PEOPLE thus MORE EMISSIONS so them being cleaner has NO BEARING. πŸ˜† That's PURE bullshit. Go ahead blame China/Asia just forget about the open coal burning furnaces EVERYWHERE in the Northeast, or the unreal auto emissions of the 70's-no bearing-- πŸ˜† πŸ˜†

I then asked if the material he was instructed to teach was of his own or of the State. 😯 Met by silence--Next--To acquire your credentials did you have to take and pass a sensitivity course? πŸ˜‰ It ended there!

Point--Man may very well contribute to the current climate, however it is a KNOWN FACT that the majority of the current conditions are NATURAL EVENTS, this can't be denied since there are periods in time that bear this out as FACT.

Current Scientists fall back on: " WITH THE CURRENT DATA--IT'S THE BEST WE CAN DO-ALL WE CURRENTLY KNOW BASED ON----- We might very well be wrong but at this time IT'S WHAT WE KNOW πŸ™„

This climategate stuff is a criminal offense since it's been used to bilk tax payers out of millions of dollars.

It ain't going away anytime soon.

Why wouldnt man have everything to do with natural events? You think we live partially out of their cause and effect because we only 'contribute'? huh ❓

Sandra: Though many men like to view themselves as gods, none of us actually possess the ability to cause volcanoes to erupt, introducing billions of tons of carbon dioxide, chlorine and fluorine into the atmosphere. Which is not to say that volcanoes are the sole source of such gases, but I haven't heard any good ideas on how to filter their output, either.

Man does produce quantities of greenhouse gases, but nobody--and I mean, NOBODY--has proven that Man is responsible for global warming. There is more than enough scientific data already in existence to support the idea that the Earth will warm or cool on its own, and Man stands about a snowball's chance in Hell of stopping the cycle.

Dad burn it. This ain't rocket science since the facts are in. This is probably
the only time I'll ever agree w/ Cole. The ocean convection belt is a fact. There
is global warming and this will be effected. Man contributes to it...and as
of the industrial age; but nature is the final word.

An ice age can accelerate inside of 10 years, so was the conventional wisdom,
which was but a few years old...but now new works are out to suggest a more
alarming trend:

I like your train of thought: So I'll play along.

Any woman made natural events you can reflect upon? πŸ˜‰ I know you said WE: Just saying!

I could write a book about the things IGNORANT PEOPLE do to the environment on a daily basis. It's a pity I simply can't shoot the clown who throws his trash from HIS/HER vehicle into my front yard. Shooting is a bit severe yet sadly it's all some understand.

Back on topic: R we speaking of Global Warming caused by Man or a series of Natural events being at it's root? Let's define the boundaries for debate.

So your point is you agree with both sides ...because you cant disagree with either...those who say we are causing the global warming effect and those who say we are contributing nil to it...
So why is it criminal to bill or use a carbon tax ? When top scientist agree they dont know absolutely what the hell is the primary reason for global warming
At the end of the day we are contributing to greenhouse global emissions and the global warning effect whether or not its causing most of the reduced salinity problems in the oceans ..
A lot of the natural events of the earth are big chills yep..sure...cant argue with the facts on that one..
