Along with Boise St., they became 1 of the first teams from non-major conferences to play in and win a BCS Bowl game. The Horned Frogs will move to the Big East Conference for the 2012-2013 year which will mean a real chance to play for the National Championship along with higher media exposure and tougher competition. They accomplished a perfect 13 - 0 season this year for the first time in the school's history.
Of the six Texas teams in BCS Bowl games this year, Texas Tech is the only other one(so far, the Aggies play LSU in the Cotton Bowl on Friday) to win with UTEP, Baylor, and SMU all losing their Bowl games.

Yeah --one of the only games I could stand to sit through, and as usual Wisconsin ( I HATE TO SAY THIS ) Served it up on a platter---That doesn't mean TCU didn't deserve to win, or didn't deserve to be there, it only means that the Badgers DOMINATED all aspects of the game, ESPECIALLY on offense and in the end made one or two too many mistakes, which allowed TCU to win the game. I say hats off to the Frogs---a lesser coached team would have gotten rolled but TCU's defense kept them in the game.
Once Wisconsin got away from their ground attack, one that sets up the pass quite well, a few too many 3 and outs and they end up scoring only 19 pts.
Great win for the Little guy.
