The little varmint that upstaged President Obama while he was speaking at the podium in the Rose Garden on Thursday was the hot topic at the daily White House briefing as reporters fired a barrage of rodent questions at the president's befuddled spokesman.
What did Obama think of the incident? Is the White House hunting the mole? Was it a mouse or a mole or something else altogether?
"Judging the size of the animal . . . I got to tell you that was a rat," White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said of the furry rodent.
