Turkeys, bunches and bunches of em. I stopped counting at 25. My cell camera locked up on me or I'd have some cool pics to post.

I'll set the digital by the back door and shoot em today, oh yes they will be back. My redneck neighbor will see to that. Already laid out 50 lbs plus of scratch. Trust me folks if they ever sell HUMAN TAGS I'll be first in line. Don't care how much they cost.

This will have to do until I can capture they monsters!

Reminds me of spending time at my grandparents, as a child, one of my past times in my
grandparents yard was chasing wild Turkeys- and learning they weren't so friendly.

But Turkeys are always good to have around, and a good sign, I always enjoy when I get the chance to see them.

Thanks for sharing Cole

If you get any more pictures, post em if you can!

My buddy from work is an avid hunter and champion caller. He actually won the NRA international Game Challege twice. He is an expert at Turkey calling. I personaly do not hunt but respect those who do, if they do it legally. He told me the wild turkeys are very intellegent and very elusive birds, calling them is a real art. They are not at all like domestic turkeys that can drown in a cup of water. They are sure a treat for me to see in the wild, I've only seen them a few times in Califonia. One time several of them walked right accross a residental street in front of us in Morro Bay. I never suspected to see them like that in a town. Every winter we get flocks of Wild Canadian Geese, that fly in and winter over in the Jr' College farm fields, and a nearby reservoir. I've stood by the fence and watched as many as a thousand in the corn field. I personally would get no satifaction out of hunting them, see them like that and take a picture is all I want to do.

Yeah well I'm a lover not a fighter Laugh Laugh So I DON'T hunt anything but I don;t look down on those that do, just as long as it's legal and they stick to the respective bag limits. Some do, some don't, but that's with most things these days.

They were back Saturday, and again yesterday. And This morning at 7 am just as I was helping the wife load the kinds up for school, so I MISSED EM but I'll get em sooner or later, just too many of them to count. 30 or so at present, pecking, scratching, rooting.

I've yet to see a Tom Fan but that's just a matter of time. I saw 3 or 4 of the lot that look like they have decent size, the rest seem to be a bit off of their feed which is not too surprising given the summer. Driest I can even remember.

The Deer will be forced to eat bark and most anything they can find this winter, many will not survive.
