There in the Northern sky, streaking across like a white hot bullet. The Doomed German Satellite, the latest to be falling back to earth.
Given my stance on the Moon BS, I rarely mention much about looking at stars or other OBJECTS in the sky, especially near dawn or just after dusk When the sun illuminates such things as satellites and doomed sky-lab type things.
I had some free time last night, my wife and little ones were on a hayride, since it was a crystal clear evening I thought, what the hell, I'll have a look. Took all of 5 minutes, maybe less, just after the sun went below the horizon and it started to get too dark to see, there she was right where she was supposed to be.
Should you be interested, look to your North just prior to sun up, or just after sun set, right before the sun breaks your eastern horizon, or just after it sets below your western horizon, either time is when it can be seen. The sun will illuminate the Satellite and make it appear as a level 3 category star, akin to those in the dippers---------should be ( if my mind is right ) moving from south east off to the northwest ---------be patient and don't blink, she'll be hauling ass!
