You know, every day I wonder if I am a good dad. I try to be the best that I can be. But I know, despite my periodic frustration with a now three year old... I am a good dad. I know this, because I was taught by the best. In fact, I was taught by the best of the best -- my dad -- who today celebrates HIS birthday.

Happy Birthday, Dad. Every day I wake up hoping I can be to Christian, what you are to me. I hope one day, he looks forward to learning how to fish, and how to target shoot, and how to kick back and just relax and enjoy the campground. You taught me everything I know, and at thirty ugh-- thirty five years old, I still need my daddy by my side to help change the guts of my new toilet, or figure out how to build these "easy to build" children's toys, or just be there for me when I want to pull out the rest of my hair, and all the hairs Grampy has left because my amazing wife (oooops - Sabrena), errrrrr I mean amazing son has just learned to push my last button and I have no more left to push.

Happy Birthday, Dad. I'm looking forward to many more chess tournaments, beers in my back yard, and that one day when you have time for me to go fishing again! 😉

Sincerely,

John Greenewald, Jr.

Thank you John, how many Fathers can brag about his son having the biggest and baddest website of 20 years?  I remember your first FOIA request coming in the mail, and now you are from only 1,  to 2 million archived.

Happy Belated Birthday Greeney. Your birthday is the day after my Mom's. I will remember this for next year. Hope you had a great day Sr..

Dawkins thinks belief in God is an excuse to evade thinking in the scientific world. Sadly, he is ignorant to the list of christian scientists who have contributed & founded many of the sciences he himself believes in. How ironic.

Thanks Chiselray, great to see you drop in, how are things in your part of the world?  Sure wish a lot of the old gang would drop back in and let us know how they are.  Too many defectors to Facebook and Twitter things.  Hope you start coming back regular, we need to spice things up around here.  Thanks for the birthday wishes.

You're very welcome Greeny2.

I miss everyone as well .So many names....

Integral and interesting time for me and still is ,this place will always be the first thought I have when I think of where I first accessed the internet.

My first internet site I joined was the BlackVault because I saw John being interviewed on TV.

And it came at exactly the right time for me.

John on TV...It was on a morning show before I went to work at 8.am as a mechanic at a Toyota dealership ,and I was so amped up and excited I saw the program ,it was my thing and I was lucky I saw it by minutes, that landed in my lap at the right time.

Blew me away it was aired .FOIA  stuff .Nothing ever aired was more exciting at the time.

It was great.

It was so rare to see UFO news and chat and even more importantly to me the chance to get me on a website to see what's going on .

John is the Elvis of UFO stuff for me ,as it is where opportunity my me shed those ideas to path on ,but also many other ideas and thoughts .

I literally got my brother Brian to hook me up with my first desktop as quickly as we could .

He turned 50 on the 13th April. That is by coincidence ,isn't that timely..ok that is pure coincidence to my post here.

He built my first desktop and it was dialup ,it was slightly quicker than sending a letter...kidding..!

I have told this story before on a thread back 4 unknown boards ago when someone made a topic like eons ago about this stuff.

Waaay late to the party.  But, that was a beautiful sentiment.  John, Greeney, the bond you two seem to have reminds me of the bond I had with my grandma.  I miss her dearly.

I love the fact that Greeney and Mrs. Greeney have loved their kids so much to let them do their own things and bloom.

I love the fact that the kids appreciate this and know this!

Does it have to be your birthday to celebrate all of your lives?  I think not.  Happy birthday, way too late.  🙂

Now, I think I'm going to cry...In a good way.
