FYI: Just In Case They Bring Back The Draft !

Anyone planning to head up to Canada just in case they bring back the Draft well.... 🙂

Canada will no longer allow Draft Evaders to cross the border in any capacity or claim Refugee Status like they did during the Vietnam War due to the numerous problems they had with all the American Exiles causing tomfoolery up there....Eh ! 😡

Since Canada is taking an active part in the War On Terror and have their Service People on the ground in Afghanistan and unoffically on the ground in Iraq attached to British, Aussie, and US Units as "observers"... Canadians feel its just unfair to do so especially with a Conservative PM in Parliament Hill (Stephen Harper a very nice guy)....

So unless you want to marry some Canadian Gal or renounce your American Citizenship and learn to play hockey, eat Back Bacon & Tim Hortons Donuts, and Parlez Vous Francais like a Quebecios, no can do anymore, eh ?

You're too old to be drafted.

No, I'll bitch and whine about it but if my country calls on me to fight I'll fight.

Stupid set of ideals, but I stick by them.

War is an extension of economics and diplomacy through other means.

Economics and diplomacy are methods of securing resources used by humans.

Securing resources is the one necessary behavior for all living things.

tomfoolery by those dirty commie hippies eh?
🙄

by golly.
i'll bet they were real wiseacres.

gee whiz. 😛

no, the REASON they can't do it again is the BORDER IS CLOSED.
and we've ALL but put up a wall north, almost as good as the BERLIN wall, and are doing the same thing THEY DID, saying it's to keep the bad guys out.
and we believe it.

and the US used those hippies as an excuse to break laws up THERE, in bullying the law enforcement and their government.
so, HOWEVER, now it's ALL mute point.
there's NO DRAFT.
and besides, we can always drum up another 9/11 event to stir up patriotic invasions and money wars.
it's NOT like we haven't before.
( hmmmmmmm, gulf of tonkin anyone? pearl harbor, maine, kuwait.)
anyways, IF there IS a draft, they should take ALL including old farts up to the mid fifties, NO DEFERMENTS. i think switzerland has it until 55, we're just as tough as the chocolate eating swiss cheezers aren't we?
especially rich guys.
see how long that sht lasts.

well, it's all a pie in the sky thing, and thinking 40 years ago.
as things turn, we'll be fighting whatever here..
everyone will be in it, and american kids will have to learn how, just like the kids in the "liberated" countries we try to "free".
what goes around, comes around.
what's funny about this is that guys who fought, ( or pretend they did) wars of 25 plus years ago, seem to think the next one will be the same.
it won't.
and what's happenning in afbuttistan isn't a war.
it's crap.
and IF you need a draft again to fight iran, or neighbor to something stan, then we need to revolt and get a new government.
beacuse too many leaders have something up their azzes. and it's not for our good.
it's always about money.
and anyone who thinks sending kids to die while bigwigs get paid for it, while draping it with flags, and singing marching songs, as far as i'm concerned, would have made a good german.
this country should thank it's lucky blue field stars we have the RIGHT to protest, and tll the commanders so.
and while i won't argue, our military has help preserve that, it was started and won really by a few people here and there who protested and wouldn't shut up.
and real brave ones that said screw you to the leaders.
and kicked them out.
but all we have are followers now.
so, this is what we get.
but hey, if anyone wants to still fear the dreaded hippies, go for it, let me know where you see them.

Never forget where the peace came from and if you do, you can always TYA
to Mesico Fence Rot, but ya best cover your tail feathers...them thar
masons is yonder as well..'member that fight a body picked 'bout 250 yrs ago?
They's one a similar down there too...just a bit younger. Bubba.

The hippies were doin' jess fine ('ceptin' the misguided socialist ones) 'till the damn
speed freaks moved in (rednecks w/out brains)...thank you very much. At any rate
we pulled out three days before the Cong were to capitulate...Tonkin's ass.....
....nuts; and the Pearl Harbor conspiracy ta boot ya ole Comrade(ical).

Ya, I protested the Vietnam war. I fighured peace would Rule...but it can't. The
whackos are walkin'. So then 'bout midway a thought floated into my then delusional
mind...the dweebs didn't move in for the kill and raze the north down...just like piss
face is doin' w/ southern Afreakagunyourspam...s-o-o-o: fug the dumb shite....I
remained nice an stoopid and liked the split Nam thing...and the stupids did...so
they was about as stoopid as I was then...three days afore the enemy would
have tapped the mat as records now prove....Comrade. Eat a brick. We won that bitch
on a technicality. Ask Russia's money maker. Better yet...smoke da brick. I uneducated
my ignorance. You can too.

Gimme 40,000 troops in Afyomomastan and YOU Stay yo happy Red ass in...in Cuba or
Mesico or whatever...keep the change.

Since then, in the seasoning of my maturity, I learned the real fight started in 3D
a bit over 250 years ago and it ain't quit cause o' hammer heads like socialists:
j-u-s-t l-i-k-e y-o-u.

That other plot -the 1400 year ole Shite? - is just stankin' cheese. Cube. Dodge that...
oh hecky dern.
Da's right!
Ya did.

whew...I sho got me a mouth... 🙄

just sit and it'll be better in a few.
Laugh

hey, NAM is doing great without us, and would have sooner without us.
and i'll be damned IF i'll go anywhere near bean o stan.

and you're right scream, war rules, and it's fun, and it's a good living and everyone should get some. it's our BEST and right now biggest export.

and remember, the peacenik hippies never took up arms, and it worked, they changed everything.
and it spread.
and it worked.
and we're in a new revolution now, and countries will topple, and it's not in a loaded gun, but right here, on a screen.
so, get out of the SPQR mentality.

oh yeah, and score some good sht, and mellow out .

Fighting is sometimes necessary. It was not necessary in Afghanistan or Iraq, though both have potentially moral reasons to help the people of either country. However, seeing as we're not helping them out too much I'd say that they are a bunch of horse shit.

WWII, needed to be fought. Great example of a conflict where pacifism would have gone done in flames. Or gone up in flames I guess...

If I was drafted to fight a war that was equally senseless as Afghanistan or Iraq I would dodge to the best of my ability.. They'd have to get helicopters looking for me up in the woods.
But if it was a legitimate war, with people who needed defending, it would be different. My loyalties lay with Canada and her people, not the government body, but the people and the land, and the mix matched culture we have. So, being drafted to defend Canada or our allies wouldn't be all bad.

"George Bush says he speaks to god every day, and christians love him for it. If George Bush said he spoke to god through his hair dryer, they would think he was mad. I fail to see how the addition of a hair dryer makes it any more absurd."

Heck I'm still thinking about joining. I'd love to bust a cap in a jihadist.

I don't believe what I believe because it's what I desire to believe. I believe what I believe because it's what science, evidence, and logic causes me to believe.

I am curious if the draft did come back, how it would be recieved by a generation who has never grown up with it? Generations like mine or other Viet Nam Era folks came from a mind set that every young man had to consider a possilbe "Military Obligation", a term which has disappeared during 30 years of no draft. Todays generation would have a real shock, if in fact the draft returned. There has even been talk of a similar thing to the draft requiring a 2 year service to the USA.

The reverse of the 60 has already been discussed, where people with no school deferments and 1A, which ended up the low income end of society was drafted, while rich kids could get exemptions staying in school. Since the prime age to draft was 19, many slipped under the cracks of age being in school. Todays military, they had said the draft could target graduates of trades needed, like computer schooling, nursing, or other skilled professions. So the tables have turned where the underachievers got drafted, they propose now that achievers may be what they need. So be careful when you recieved Pell Grants and government funded student loans, there could end up a catch to that trade school.

No matter what the case, those who fled to Canada did it becasue they actually refused induction, and were all federal fugitives, which Jimmy Carter gave Amnesty for. What a slap in the face, for all those parents who lost someone in that VN war, to say OK you can come back now, Little Jimmy and Johnny died in your place. Why would Canada want military fugitives flocking to there again, and beieg parasites on Canada's populations? Amaing, none of them flocked to Tijauana to live instead.

Greeney, no one goes to TJ to LIVE there. People visit TJ to have the same wild time they can get in Vegas, but with a little illegal activity mixed in. It's the serious version of Las Vegas.
