KJ Mullins-Florida: When five teens broke into a Silver Springs, Florida home on December 15, 2010 they took jewelry, electronic items and three urns containing the ashes of the victim’s dead father and two dogs.

The American teens had thought the ashes were cocaine or heroin according to Marion County Sheriffs who interviewed them. When their try at the ‘nose candy’ didn’t pan out they went to a friend who thought the ashes were cement mix. It was only when some of the suspects read a media report that they realized that they had snorted dog and human ashes.

The teens had thought about returning the ashes but decided it was too risky. They threw the ashes instead into a lake. Police investigators located two of the urns at the lake after an hour of their dive team’s search on Thursday. One urn belonging to one of the dogs, a Great Dane, has yet to be recovered. That urn was not discarded in the lake said Sheriff Ed Dean.

“We are out here today searching the lake because we want to return the ashes to the victim. The items are important to her, so they are important to us. The best part of our job (as a property crimes detective) is finding the stolen property and returning it to the owner,” said Detective Greg Spicher. “Our job isn’t over when we arrest someone,” he added.

Matrix Andaluz, 18, Waldo Soroa, 19, and Jose David Diaz Marrero, 19, and two minors are facing several charges connected to the case. The suspects were also charged in a different case for attempted residential burglary and impairing the phone line to a home on Oak Circle in the same community.

Who stores cocaine in urns?

Those guys are ****ing retarded.

I'm STILL trying to wrap my head around this.

I don't think there's an accurate level of "derp" to explain these fools.

War is an extension of economics and diplomacy through other means.

Economics and diplomacy are methods of securing resources used by humans.

Securing resources is the one necessary behavior for all living things.

War = Life

What is this Wonka, some kind of funhouse?
Why? Are you having fun?

There will probably be some after this article gives them the idea. The cops come in, "no, that's just my grandpa on the shelf, no drugs here."

Not that that would work for very long though.
