President Michelle Bachmann?

Could Rep. Michelle Bachmann (R-MN) be considering a title change? According to ABC News, the Tea Party favorite is considering a run for “Mrs. President.”

ABC News reports:

ABC News has learned that Bachmann, R-Minn., also is seriously weighing whether to seek the Republican nomination for president in 2012.

A source close to the three-term congresswoman said Bachmann will travel to Iowa this month for multiple meetings to seek advice from political forces there and party elders close to the caucus process before coming to a final decision regarding a potential presidential run. Bachmann, a native of Waterloo, Iowa, also is set to deliver a keynote speech at an Iowans for Tax Relief PAC fundraiser Jan. 21 in Des Moines, Iowa.

According to ABC, this will be Bachmann’s third trip to Iowa in the last eight months — trips that could pay dividends when the early Iowa caucuses roll around.

And Bachmann‘s staff isn’t going out of its way to shoot down the rumors.

“Nothing is off the table,” Bachmann chief of staff Andy Parrish told ABC News when asked whether the Iowa trip signaled Bachmann’s intent to run for president. “The congresswoman is excited about her first trip to Iowa this year.”

I think she would be a good candidate. She has less negative baggage then Sarah , But it's early yet.

The left will surely be quick to try and inflict as much damage as possible. They fear Sarah because she actually had expierience . Way more than Obamao ever had or ever will have.

Bachmann is in the same boat , she has a ton of expierience, and she tells it straight, they can't have that. I will be watching this to see how fast the progressives jump on her. Should be any second now.

Bachmann, the same woman who wants to round up citizens she considers subversive/anti-American? The same woman who called for McCarthyite investigations? Laugh

Yes, you're grasping at the wind. I never meant to suggest that my vote is anything special to anyone but me. I was making a personal observation and comment. Had I said Bachmann was worthy of your vote, I'm sure you would have found a way to bash me for that too.

Please quit trolling and stay on topic. Or, create your own thread in the battle forum.

Bachmann is a Conservative that seeks to protect the Constitution and supports tight border security. She is as anti-Liberal Progressive as anyone gets in the Congress, so, for the majority of this country, she is a breath of fresh air.

Someone has to replace Palin. Laugh
I think Palin is no match for Bachmann,
Bachmann will run her to the ground.
She'll raise monumental amounts of money
and it will be astonishing should she lose. Laugh

Indeed. I think she is much more qualified than Palin and like Bloodstone said, she has way less baggage. Newt Gingrich is a favorite of mine but he (unfortunately) is so open with his Christianity that it's a turn off for a lot of Americans. Bachmann isn't overtly religious which gives her an advantage over Gingrich, Palin, and Huckabee. That leaves her biggest Republican obstacle being Mitt Romney. I think she could really turn on the charisma and charm, and beat him. He's got a huge problem anyway in his disastrous state-run healthcare.

I would be VERY happy with Bachmann, Gingrich, or Huckabee, in that order.

Huckabee wants to do something that I greatly support, and that's totally chuck the Federal Income Tax and implement a Federal sales tax.

I don't know why that idea doesn't catch on. Obviously it benefits the poor, because they spend the least, and taxes the rich the most because they spend the most. Seems like the liberals would LOVE that idea.

And without a Federal income tax, many people would voluntarily take themselves out of the welfare system and start working again. It's a win-win-win-win-win.

My one and only reservation about Bachmann becoming president is by the time she got out of her presidency all that natural beauty would probably be gone. Presidents always come out looking a whole lot older for some reason.... 😉

Before I got to see who Huckabee was on FOX, I really didn't know much about him. I like him alot, he seems to be a very nice man, but I;m not if he can get much further than he did last time.

Personal question.

Do you think Bachmann is attractive?

To me she is one of those few people -- Palin is another -- that looks beautiful one minute then the next minute looks not so attractive.

One thing about Bachmann is she is more polished than Palin. Bachmann understands that even if the conversation gets sour, she has to keep that smile on. Good politicians--the ones in control of their emotions--can do that. When Palin isn't smiling she can look downright ugly. Same thing with Obama and a host of others.

I think overall Bachmann is beautiful. Inside and out. I'd be honored to have her as president.
