Well, this is Monday Morning, everyone is back to school or back to work, and back to normal again. Christmas trees and lights are down or coming down, and we look into new beginnings for a new year.
For California, the era of "Arnold the Terminator" ends today, and Jerry Brown will be sworn in a Governor this morning. No more Kalifornia, back to California. My hope is that the state can regroup, and that we can see an economical turn around. I think we only have a few states not in trouble. Ironically, one of them is the State identified by Sarah Palin unfit to be in the Whitehouse by liberals, but her state is one NOT IN TROUBLE. Go figure!
For me, we start looking forward to our Anniversary, so we kind us extend the holidays into Valentines Day. Going to think about trying out my new crock pot, my Daughter gave me, maybe something fitting cold rainy days this week.
Also back to normal for the BV board, after all the events of last week. Lets make it a good year posting new and good subjects. Hopefully some friendly ones.

Happy New Year, Greeney. (and eveyrbody here)
I am thinking of getting a new crockpot..I am reading the book Primal Diet and a-lot of the recipes in there involve one..my one was so old.it didn't make the move..so I need a new one.
New year, new energy, fresh start, especially when spring gets here.
I have a good feeling for this year for my family.
Healing..the geniune kind.
I can't WAIT for spring(must..hold..on)
This place is cold as all get out right now, but I can tell spring, summer, and fall are GREAT.
I am looking forward to them.
Willie Wonka quotes..
What is this Wonka, some kind of funhouse?
Why? Are you having fun?
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men.

We have two older crock pots, a 3qt and a 5 qt. They just have a high and low setting. The new one I got is bigger, but also has programable timer. One that caught my eye on commercials was the new model that has a latch down lid. Thats a nice feature if you cook something during the day, you are taking someplace that night. Anything that sloshes doesn't do the inside of the car much good. The one I got doesn;t have that, but I;m not likely to have to transport it. Lots of times its a nice thing to be able to do, and not worry about a spill.
John Jr. has used his alot since we gave him his. He has made many diet minded dishes with his also. I'm sure he would love to share some of the reciepes with us. In fact, anyone has any, lets start a good thread hearing some. Cole had a great one last week he posted.
