When I was around ten, my aunt sent me out to the woods behind our school to pick wild leeks for soup.

My friend and I went to where we usually went to get them, only to find an area about 50ft in diameter where the trees had been pushed over( to where the roots stuck out of the ground) in an outward  pattern from the center. We played in the roots for a while, as these were very large trees. Then we went off to find the leeks. About 30ft from the trees was a rectangle 4ftx6ft, that was 3,or4ft deep, that was missing from the woods floor. It was perfectly cut out with exact corners. Even at our age we knew it was odd because there wasn't any dirt around the hole anywhere from spillage. Another weird thing was that the walls of this missing section, were covered with 2" diameter holes that we could shove a long stick into with no end. Also, there was no dirt sitting in any of the hole bottoms. They were as clean as everything else.

My friend and I have tried to go back there as adults but the whole area is developed now. This took place in the east end of London Ontario, behind J.P. Robarts public school. in the 80's(not the deaf school of the same name). A place Paul Hellyer warns is a hot spot for activity.

Has anyone else come across anything like this? I'm hoping to find someone who may have done tests on their site.

It's better to walk alone, than with a crowd going in the wrong direction. H.S.
