Following North Korea's warning Thursday that it is capable of striking US targets around the world, here are the key facts on Pyongyang's missile arsenal, based on South Korean defense ministry data:

Scud-B:

Range: 300 kilometers (185 miles)

Payload: 1,000 kilograms (2,200 pounds)

Status: Operational deployment

Scud-C

Range: 500 kilometers (310 miles)

Payload: 770 kilograms (1,694 pounds)

Status: Operational deployment

Rodong-1

Range: 1,300 kilometers (805 miles)

Payload: 1,000 kilograms (2,200 pounds)

Status: Operational deployment

Taepodong-1

Range: 2,500 kilometers (1,550 miles)

Payload: 1,000 kilograms (2,200 pounds)

Status: Test-firing

Taepodong-2

Exact status uncertain, but South Korea says the Stalinist state is "feverishly developing" a long-range missile with a range of 6,700 kilometers (4,150 miles), which would put the United States' western seaboard within reach.

CIA chief George Tenet said Wednesday North Korea did have the capacity to deliver a nuclear device to the west coast of the United States, although he declined to elaborate.
