JAMMU: A bomb went off on Thursday in a market place in Kashmir state, wounding nine people, the police said.
The explosion took place near a crowded bus station in Reasi town, which is 80 km from Jammu.
"It was an IED set off by a timer," a police official said.
India has mobilised its army at the border to put pressure on its neighbour to prevent infiltration of militants and hand over 20 men accused of terrorist acts. Pakistan has arrested hundreds of religious extremists, shut down their offices and denounced terrorism in all its forms.
