Jessica Simpson had very little to say at her recent album launch after being told to rest her voice.
The singer croaked out a few sentences as she walked the press line but was obviously suffering as she could hardly be heard above the hubbub.
Jess was promoting her new album A Public Affair at top New York night-spot, Roxy.
Friends and fans joined the singer for a roller skating party where Jess herself nearly took a tumble in a stunning black mini-dress.
Jessica apparently was ordered to rest by doctors who said she had a bruise on her vocal chords.
Her publicist, Rob Shuter, said: "She can talk, she can croak out a few sentences. She sounds a little off, but, you know, she can't sing."
